* 2004 Hunting Season *

In 2004, the Rowe Farm will be offering a limited number of wild boar hunts. Our hogs are proving to be an excellent bloodline with qualities consistent with pure bred European hogs. Unlike other ranches, our hogs are pure black with straight tails and blonde jaw stripes. At the farm we don’t bring in any pigs for harvest. Our hogs are all born and raised at the farm to ensure a quality animal, with classic traits and massive size.

After seeing how destructive the hogs can be to the property, we decided to move them out of the main enclosure and into a new enclosure solely for them. The new enclosure is approx 30 acres in size, with only a few boars located there at one time. The boar enclosure consists of hardwoods, an apple orchard, 2 acres of open field and a raspberry swamp. Although small in comparison to our main enclosure, the boar hunting has proven to be difficult. We allow only bow hunters, and most all hunting is done on foot (which can prove to be very nerve-racking).

Our boar hunts are one day hunts, with a mid-day lunch included. All hunts will be guided to assist in locating and judging the largest boars. After harvest of your trophy, the guide will dress and either quarter or half your animal if desired for transport.
